    Never seen Carp for sale here before! Wouldn't think there'd be much demand for it?

    Its the traditional Polish dish for their Christmas eve dinner. A lot of them dont like it tho so swap it for cod or some other nicer white fish.

    Weren't carp one of the original farmed fish?
    Not sure if it's true, but I had been led to believe that they were a farmed by medieval monks in their monasteries and this helped in their spread.

    they were farmed in china 4 or 5 thousand years ago they claim
