Most hotels that are open on Christmas Day, probably required you to have booked a table for yourself
    Ring around tomorrow
The odd Centra/Spar will be open but probably not doing any hot food and will close very early
    Saturday the same

some hotels and some restaurants will be open. hospitals will give you free food if you can get admitted and soup kitchens shouldn't refuse you if you dress down.

You're probably better off asking in your regional forum as opening times for hotels etc vary nationwide.

Casinos around Dublin are open. Usually have free Christmas dinner and drink too if you are playing.

I was about to ask that - his location says Carlow so I'm assuming there!

That's just mad. But thinking about it I would say there will be a fair few punters in there.

I like the english thing of going for a pint after church on christmas day...
Or the Austrian thing of going for a hot Gluhwein from a stall after church...

That sounds like the most depressing way to spend Christmas....

Hotels will be open but won't sell petrol.

Don't realise how much of an all in one stop the garage is until you really need a petrol/food combo and it's closed for a few hours.

Most shops and offies will close at 6 today if not earlier.

I can think of at least 2 garages in Dublin that will be open 24 hours over Xmas.

My local O'Briens shuts at 9 if it helps anyone else. I'm sure it's the same for a lot of them in Dublin.

    Will you be ok OP?
Get plenty of food in today
If your a bit worried about not having any human contact for a couple of days you should ring Samaritans
Bloody Christmas is just a nuisance if your prone to stress

A lot of the people there are older, looking to spend the day with friends or just people in general.

Actually a surprising number of hotels are shut. Thought a lot more be open.

Well, I intend to be in the family home, drinking wine, nursing my food baby, watching sh*te on tv.
