I would like to get one of these freetime boxes. Only problem is the Humax hdr foxsat is working perfect nearly 6 years later.
With her in doors I can't justify buying one yet.

Friendo, if you are relying on Saorsat for your RTEs, then I would stick with your Foxsat for as long as possible.

I believe the Freetime boxes aren't very user friendly for stations other than Freesat ones.

There are ways to get BBC i-player to work in Ireland on the Foxsat Box, but we are not allowed to talk about that here. :)

    I disagree

showtime on freetime tells me what to watch/record for the next 7 days and its better than the sky tv version

That's fair enough, but I was just pointing out to Friendo, that the Freetime boxes are not very user-friendly for picking up Saorsat,

I know they are not designed to do that, but the old Foxsat does it better.

It's a small point, but it may be relevant to Friendo.

Thanks Delta, but I only use the Foxsat for Freesat.

I have the Walker Saorsat approved stb for the RTE's, it's the only way for getting good recording ability for saorsat and also getting RTE digital aertel.

My tv is a Panasonic from 2007, so no sat tuner.

The fact that the humax foxsat is such a good receiver, I can't get the Freetime box yet!
