i've got a problem with my Macbook

I get to the log on screen and when i enter the correct password the screen changes colour and goes back to the log on screen again

i did a search and need to reinstall the OS ie Mavericks

I did all the usual disk utility checks, it will not allow me reinstall mavericks from disk utility, i keep getting the message temporary unavailable

i cannot find the startup disks i bought the macbook 2nd hand

i got an external harddrive and tried everything to try and create a boot up disk including disk maker

i've tried everything on the internet

has anyone had this problem before and how to sort it

Can you not just boot into the recovery partition (holding cmd or 'r' not sure which button) and reinstall that way? Thought there was an option for reinstalling the OS from there.

Alternatively, if you have access to another Mac download the install file and create a bootable USB (instructions here).

    Thanks for your reply.

tried that and get the message temporary unavailable when i enter my apple id

tried everything to create a boot disk even downloaded disk maker and does not work, tried opening in safe mode and no joy

I'm going to try and get a thunderbolt cable and link it to another mac and try and pull the files off and format the drive then

Got it sorted, i've another mac running Yosemite, i just followed the instructions on this website http://osxdaily.com/2014/10/16/make-os-x-yosemite-boot-install-drive/

During the install, I used an external hardrive as the booth disk and installed Yosemite on the external hardrive and then accessed the files on the mac book and transferred them onto an usb

formated the macbook hardrive and did a fresh install of Yosemite
