Light & Motion Solo Logic MV front light. With mount, 3x batteries and 2x chargers. Batteries have been used for a good few years, so none hold as much of a charge as they used to. Price €40.

9800 lumens T6 LED front light. AKA "the photon cannon". Three modes, 9,800 lumen, 1,600 lumen and strobe. Highest setting is ridiculously bright. Probably best suited to off-road. No battery, as the battery that came with it was a dud and I ended up binning it. Price €30.

Both available for collection from Inchicore, Dublin 8.

Hi Jep, how many hours would you get on either before recharging ?

When you say ridiculously bright at highest setting, is the next setting down enough for a winter night ? Is the top setting just too dangerous for road.

might just get me off my ass and outside in January

I'm not sure to be honest. I last used it two years ago. At that time I'd be getting one three hour evening spin in before recharging. I reckon to get the most out of it, you'd need a new battery and save those three for commuting or backup use.

Yes, too bright for the road in my opinion. Lower setting may work on the road provided you angle it down a bit.
