If you click on book flights it shows the airport as TFS - Tenerife South.

Ahhh right. Maybe they mean the island. I have flown into TFN, when EI asked me to reroute, and its not great.

I was starting to wonder was it some sort of a BA tie-up.

    Thanks.

Looks like someone used Santa Cruz Tenerife as marketing speak because it's the capital city on the Island, but next the North airport

Anybody familiar with transfers from Tenerife South to Los Cristianos? I am travelling in a few weeks and looking at transfer companies. Quite a variation in price - even between the UK site and Irish site. Hoppa (Irish site in €) shuttle €15, speedy shuttle €20 and private taxi €60. Hoppa UK (£) £16, £22 and £36 respectively. All using Leap29 code- good today only, but there are lots of other codes). The private taxi using the UK site is tempting, short break , don't want to waste time faffing around. Is the taxi UK fare£36 (€46) worth the difference over the Irish site speedy transfer€ 20? It's the same company so assume the same transfers. Any other recommendations?

Tenerife north is not much of a holiday airport, it's alot more local, for local business interests in Santa Cruz (the city of Tenerife) and travels from locals.

EI certainly won't be flying to TFN.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife is also an inaccurate name for either airport, someone in the EI marketing team has really messed up.

Thanks for reply, but I am not finding that on any site. Should have mentioned the above is for 2 return to the airport :(

25 quid max to Cristianos. In January I Paid 30 for 2 adults + 2 kids to Adeje which is a few miles past Cristianos. No need to book. Plenty of taxis outside arrivals

Thanks A320 and gramlab, good to know. We stayed in Adeje about 6 years ago but completely forget how much we paid in taxi fares. Complete opposite to Faro, where transfers are cheaper than taxies. Will just get a taxi when we arrive. Cheers.
