Sipping a strong coffee and looking at the Christmas lights. I have a hankering for scrambled eggs and toast but it feels too much like cooking at this hour.

Just finishing my night shift at 7 is it breakfast or a late night snack I'll be having when I get home? Tea and toast before I hop into bed. Or Will I pick up a breakfast roll on way home.

Would breakfast roll not lie a bit heavy with you? Still it's Christmas week, you are coming home from a night shift and the weather is crap out there.

Yeah true. Just realized I have to go to my daughter's Christmas play @ 10 so no bed for me. Think I'll have a bit of scrambled egg with toast.

My tummy isn't feeling great this morning :(

Trying to get a cup of tea into me. I'd normally have eggs but the thoughts of that is making me queasy.

I was in my parents' house at the weekend when a cousin of my mother arrived for a Christmas visit. You can't believe how I felt when my brother asked if she wanted an Americano. :(

Afterwards, he wanted to show my his new coffee-maker/cappuccinolizer/espressolator for the third time, even though he knows I despise everything coffee-related.

So yeah, maybe porridge or a few sausages and pudding, with a dash of beans.

I've ran out of eggs and milk but I'm flying home tomorrow and the flat will be empty, so no point buying more. Just a natural yoghurt, an apple and toast with avocado for me and I'll have a coffee out somewhere...

Have to say, I worked 12 hour night shifts for 13 years.
The ONLY nice thing was getting home on a crappy wet windy morning, seeing people standing at bus stops dripping wet, knowing my mrs had the electric blanket left on for me. Hop onto a warm bed when it's blowing a gale outside.
Other than that one thing, nights are dreadful.

Cup of tea and some berries with a big dollop of Greek yoghurt.

Going to have a coffee and a pastry of some kind at 11 am. Can't wait. :pac:

Had crunchy nut cornflakes not something I normally eat as they are way too sweet but my husband like them. It usually porridge or some combo of eggs and toast. Eggs have got to be the most versatile food ever.

3 and a half slices of half n half toast. There was only un-salted butter left so it was failrly bland toast.
It was supposed to be 4 slices, but one of the kids ran off with a piece.

Washed it down with a swell mug of coffee though.

You should have put salt on it!

Lots of people find me morally repellent so I am used to it :)

I made this on Friday too.

Just home from breakfast in town with my wife - our pre Christmas tradition.

Full Irish for me with coffees. Mrs S had poached eggs with bacon. The place was buzzing.

I can't believe I'm posting something as bland as what I had for breakfast......ah it's Christmas.

After all that managed just a few mouthfuls of porridge.. ah well, nearly dinner time.
