Asking on behalf of someone else as I don't have a clue.

Will alloy wheels from an Audi A6 (C7) fit an A4 (B7/B8), Golf or Passat?

They'll fit but you'll need 66.5>57.1 spigot rings on all except the B8 A4.

I got a set of genuine alloys off a 2015 A6 which had a centre bore of 57.1. To put them on my b8 A4 i had to machine them out to 66.5. .
Dont assume that that all centre bores are 66.5mm

I definately wouldn't be comfortable machining the bore!

Would have been easier to fit a set of Merc Alloys. (66.6mm bore)

All 4G A6's since 2011 are 66.5. All of them, without exception.

This has got to be one of the most dangerous practices around at the moment. You have essentially introduced a 'stress raiser' in your wheels. The wheels might cope with it, in fact they most probably will. But there is a risk that they might fracture some day, and God knows how that will turn out !.
