May not be the right spot for this.

Me Father always had masseys and still has and I want to buy a ride on kids tractor for my 2 year old

    I cannot find one.

I'm looking for one like this John Deere one:

    http://www.smythstoys.com/ie/en-ie/outdoor/c-674/tractors/p-3232/john-deere-large-tractor-trailer-and-loader/

But in a Massey. With front loader etc.

I can find one Massey alright but it's too small- see attached.
And not looking to spend a fortune either

    Any comments welcome.

Edit : I'm based in Galway

Massey main agents usually carry a stock of kids toys just like what you're after.

We got 2 of those small Massey tractors for our twin boys when the were 2 and to tell you the truth the tractors were too big for them, it was another few months before the boys were really ready for them. I think it will be a mistake for you to buy the bigger tractor for a 2 year old as it will only frustrate them.

Thanks for input. That's put the cat amongst the pigeons now.

When you mention the "small" Massey, do you mean this one:

My lads had 2 tractors with no pedals. They sat in them and scooted with their feet. Claas:(

That poster is correct pedal one will drive them mad and have you killed pushing them. Got that tee shirt

That one exactly, I think the only smaller one has no pedals. And they got a few years of use out of them to. We even got the rolly back actor for them the following year which fitted perfectly and also transferred over onto the bigger tractors later on.

And I presume your lads at 2 years old were not small or anything and just normal height (sorry for strange comment )

I would have considered them as average size for their age. Look at the age ratings the small one says 2+ and the bigger ones say 3 - 10 and honestly I would say a 3 year old will struggle with the bigger one unless your yard is perfectly smooth.

I know it's tempting to get the bigger one as it will do until your child is 10 and probably won't want pedal tractors any more. But if they are not able for it, it could be a massive disappointment.

Having said that you know your child better than me, so maybe your child is stronger or a natural born / determend pedaler. But it is worth considering. Another thing to consider is your child won't even notice or care that it is the smaller model until about 4-5. (it's also a lot cheaper and available to you now ;) )

Try Thomas Flynns in Mullingar they generally have MF and Fendt tractors in stock. It's worth a call.

I was very proud of myself the other night. Happened to be walking out of a shop with OH in a Cavan village when a guy went past driving a beautifully restored MF. Neither of us seen what model it was but by the sound of the engine I said it was a 168 but OH said a 165. The lad pulled in outside another shop further up the road so we got the opportunity to see which model it was.
It was a 168, same model as my late Uncle's and a great tractor too.
Pic of her from 2012 getting a bit of work done including a new fl wheel and tyre :)

Depends if the brackets are available ;)
Have a look at this website. MF's with front loaders are shown
