    Hi all.

We have an 02 seat Leon that is leaking. Basically when you open the drivers or passenger door after it has been raining a load of water spills out between the door and the plastic sill cover. It is soaking the front footwells.

Anyone had a similar issue and cured it.? Any help would be a great help.

Leon's are well known for leaks, have a Google

It's the foam seal between the metal ancillaries carrier and the door.
The foam perishes and no longer seals and allows water in.

I fixed it in my car years ago with some tacky ruberised foam I got from seat themselves, taks about 30 mins per door to fix. The inner door card needs to be removed to do it.
As mentioned above there are guides on the web.

    Thanks for replying

I told off the door cards and sealed around the metal ancillary plate as mentioned on a few sites but the water I still finding its way in.

I suppose I will have to give it another go.

I had a 01 Leon years ago I changed the seals two times in 18 months. It was a pain in the hoop every winter. The seals weren't that expensive

Someone posted in here a few months ago about turning on your car heating to max and then using very soapy water in the suspected area to pinpoint where it is leaking. As the hot air exiting will cause the bubbles to bubble up.(not on this car specifically)

Tried this yesterday to find a leak and it works brilliantly.
