Im sure you'd all love to sit next to this passenger on your flight! What a charming lady!

My question to you is, what would you have done if you were her seat mate/ or on the flight with her in this situation ?

I know what I would have done and it wouldn't have been pleasant :p

Happened to me on a flight from Dublin to Manchester a few years ago. Oul fella beside me lit a butt, took a drag and stubbed it out. I just said to him "do that again and I'll call the cabin crew". As it was only a short flight, it was probably enough to get him to the other side.

There was a terrible smell off him as well

If you do that on a European airline you'll be taken into custody upon arrival. I hope that happened there too.

It's surprising how many people still try it. On my last flight with Ryanair from Bucharest someone was smoking in the toilet and they made a big deal about it. Nobody was arrested but I think they didnt know who did it.

Probably get sick on her because I'd be so nauseous from the disgusting smell. If someone beside me on a flight did that though I'd grab the fag off of them if they refused to put it out like her.

How pathetic and weak must you be to not be able to go a few hours on a plane without smoking.

It happens all the time in Europe and let me tell you people are NOT taken into custody! They are let off and told not to do it again which of course they do as they know they will get away with it!

If i was sitting beside or near this lady and she refused to put it out i would grab the nearest drink and pour it over her no qulams about it :D

Did someone do it on the NOC-MAN Flybe flight last year and divert it to Dublin?

No, that was only a rumour, as far as I know it wasn't true.

I think you'll find the Lebanese do whatever they bloody well want whenever they bloody well feel like it and everybody else can get stuffed. Soon after that incident some guy will break into song and a dabke line will be working it's way up and down the isle. They're a cracking race of people.

On a different note, what's the deal with those electric vaping thingies?
I was on an FR flight to Lanzarote last May and sitting in a D seat.
E and F held two decent sort of fellows who made a sizable dent in the plane's food and drinks inventory. Not long before landing I noticed F smoking from the device. It didn't bother me in the least, I hadn't realised he was using it during the flight. The pre-flight announcement makes no mention of the things.

E-cigs are illegal the same as real cigarettes on most airlines now certainly in Europe and the US, in the past Ryanair sold "smokeless cigarettes" but no longer do so, they were not the same as the vapour emitting electronic cigarettes, which are now illegal to use onboard

That distasteful statement makes no sense whatsoever.
She quite possibly could be a christian but I don't think she's the wicked witch of the west.

While I wouldn't personally waste good food on her I would happily pour a bottle of water over her ! You know, to quinch the fire hazard she's holding :D

Going to be totally honest here and say I would most kindly smash my elbow into her face until she stopped.
