Radiator bleed valves broken

In a newly built house with only 9 radiators, three of those radiators have had the nipple snap off the bleed valve leaving us unable to bleed those radiators. There's no leaking at the valves so that's not a problem but one of them is cold about half way up from the bottom. Is it necessary to get new radiators or is it possible to buy new bleed valves? And if so, are they a standard size? If it's possible to get the valves, is it a job I could attempt myself or would I need to leave it with a plumbed? Any advice gratefully received.

Seen a lad in a similar situation where the bleed valve had seized on a 30 yr old rad
He screwed a small self tapping stainless steel screw in to the flat part of the rad removed it warped a small bit of ptfe tape around it while the air came out then screwed it back in
    7 yrs later still working

Older radiators had the bleed screw tapped directly into the body of the radiator. If the screw got damaged or yot mangled the threads on the radiator then you were in serious trouble.

Moderm radiators have the bleed screw tapped into a 'bushing' that is in itself tapped into the radiator. So if the bleed screw is fuc*ed you just removed the bigger bushing complete with screw, and replace the complete assembly.
