RTE series a few years back featuring orchestra/soloist rehearsal..

    Sorry I can't be any more specific in the title!

    Does anyone remember an RTE series a while back - I think it may have been three parts, but I only caught part of one episode - it featured Anne Sophie von Mutter (at least I'm nearly sure it was her) rehearsing a Bach violin concerto with an orchestra.

    I had never heard those concertos (or ASvonM, for that matter) before and have been a wild fan of them ever since, based on that half an episode that I saw.

    Can't remember anything else about the programme(s) but I would love to find them somehow or somewhere to watch in full.

    Can anyone help???

    (I'm only 90% sure it was even RTE! But it was definitely the Bach violin concerto for violin and strings in E major!

    Try contacting the RTE archives, I had a query a few years ago and they were pretty good at sussing out the answers... but as per usual they don't make the archives available to individulas to view.
    You could chance Lyric FM too.

    MAybe do a search and find out when she was in Ireland. Was she rehearsing with an Irish orchestra? Like was it an irish series?
