Pumped power shower: advice needed

Hi we have a pumped power shower in the ensuite bathroom. Unfortunately recently the hot water is not making its way down it. Plenty of hot water in tank and I have to end up turning off the cold water valve to ensure the hot waters arrival then turn back on valve to get the mix going again. I'm assuming an air lock is causing it or could it be something else. You can almost hear the hot water arriving from the pump so could it be a pump issue ? Cheers

Need a bit more intel on the set up.
    where is pump?
is it a mixer valve or two taps?
    open or closed HW system?
    etc

The first thing I would check is for a blockage on the hot pipe to/from the pump. Sometimes there is a little strainer installed in the pipe just upstream of the pump, designed to catch any solids that might come out of the tank. So check this (there is normally a valve installed in the line to isolate it so that you can break the line without flooding the place). In my system I even have a Y-strainer in line. Also, could someone have inadvertently left an isolation valve partially closed.

Other than that it could be a pump or mixer valve problem. But check for a blockage first.

Cheers for the reply. I have a feeling it's a pump issue as we bought the pump second hand a couple of years back.however will try the above first. Thanks again

Still have not resolved the above issue unfortunately. We changed the pump. I have check both hot and cold filters at pump for any blockages and there is nothing. What makes matters worse now is I have a leak at the two isolation valves (slow constant drip) I have had a plumber here 4 times trying to figure this issue out. Wife cracking up. On his this visit the plumber removed the showe plate att he taps..and it was working for 4 weeks after this..but then one day I turned the tap from hot to cold and when I went to turn it back no hot would come out. If there a mixing valve in the shower controls that possibly is not opening when I turn up the hot. Any advice really appreciated? Photos below.

Does the hot water go ok to everywhere else in the house or is it giving trouble in other parts of the house too ?

I don't think I'm of any help to you but I think I have a similar issue. Instead of having a power shower, our whole system is pressurized and therefore instead of just not getting hot water to the shower, I'm not getting it anywhere.

It sounds like it's the cartridge in the mixer shower needs replacing.
