It's not that cheap compared to a real one.
that one looks like it just controls your tv.
You might see one on adverts?

Virgin will sell you a remote. Much better than getting one that only might work.

If the remote is completely broken there are a bunch for sale on adverts.ie, a lot of them don't get returned to UPC when replaced or accounts lapse.

If it is just that some of the keys do not work well then it is probably just a build-up of residue on the contacts. Take it apart and clean the circuit board and the underside of the rubber keys and it will be back to normal.
