Baby with reflux

Hi all, our little man is 11 weeks old now, he was diagnosed with reflux from about 3 weeks old and after a few weeks of varied attempts to help him , we got a script for Losec. We dissolve it in 1ml of water and add 1ml of gripe water and syringe it into his mouth just before a bottle twice a day. He's thriving and gaining great weight and is bordering 13.8lbs now. He doesn't spew the bottles, he has silent reflux so it seems it's more heartburn sensation for him. Anyway it's really under control but I wonder does anyone have experience of a similar baby who gulps down his bottle in one go, no stops for wind. He's only on 5oz and would be able for more but the docs say smaller bottles more often are best for now. He'd savage you for taking it away lol, but once the bottle is finished he cries almost hysterically, every time. We have to give him the soother for five mins, let him relax and then wind him. Winding is pretty good to start with one big burp but then the rest could take 15mins more. Is this normal with reflux babies? We're first time parents so aren't sure. Over all we're blessed and he's sleeping well but it's only the after bottle crying we'd be concerned about. Thanks in advance guys Niall

As long as you don't look for medical advice, you should get some good guidence in the Newborn & Toddlers forum.

This forum is for general site feedback. :)
