Hi I'm working two jobs and the way my taxes are split, I'm paying very high tax, well over what I should. I'm therefore due a lot in the new year.

Problem is i need my p60 from both jobs to do that. One job is fine and issue it in February but the other gave it end of March last year. January is going to be very expensive for me next year and I could do with my refund in the new year. Can I not give revenue my last two payslips in January or do I have to get my p60?

It depends on the level of detail provided on the payslips, as not all give the entire year view as they should. And of course, some Districts won't accept payslips either.

Based on what? Revenue don't know what you earn in a year untill your employers tell them by filling a P35 around the same time they give you your P60s.

You can alternatively input the final year figures from your payslips online into your PAYE anytime account in January if you are confident you are entering the correct figures. This will generate a P21 balancing statement and allow any refund due to issue. Most wait until the P60 figures are available.

I think employers have till early Feb to give you a p60 and it'll take a bit of time to process a refund too so I wouldn't be hopeful of getting it in january
