I picked up a PURE sensia Internet/DAB radio for £65, manufacturer refurbished with 1yr warranty, or you could order newer version PURE sensia 200D from oxendales for €437:eek:
Just waiting for the txt from parcelmotel to tell me it's ready for collection:D
The pure sensia 200D is an updated model which I believe allows the 'listen back' feature that BBC radio offer, it's like BBC iplayer for radio & may be unavailable to folk outside UK anyway otherwise it's the same.
    *******************************************************************************
From the 1st of January 2015 the BBC Listen Again service will not be available
The BBC have been making significant changes to the way they will deliver their Listen Again service after the 1st January 2015.
Unfortunately the updates the BBC will be making will affect a few of our older products as they will no longer be compatible with the way that the BBC’s Listen Again service is broadcast. This decision was outside Pure’s control and will affect the following products: Avanti Flow, Sensia, Siesta Flow, Evoke Flow, Oasis Flow and Sirocco 550.
Please be aware that this will not affect BBC Podcasts. Most Listen Again content is also listed as a Podcast so please review your Listen Again favourites and search under Podcasts

Customers may also see some changes on some live radio content if the BBC do not have the right to that particular stream.
More information can be found on the BBC website found here**

Are you sure that this is the 200D and not the original? The one in your link looks very like the original Sensia which I have

Or you could also buy a new one on Amazon with 3 yr warranty for £90

    Yeah but :D

    New > Refurb
    3 yr > 1 yr Warranty

    Yeah but :D

    New > Refurb
    3 yr > 1 yr Warranty

Something fishy about that amazon add, £89 new & £199 refurbished! that seller also makes a point that they remove packaging as an eco friendly gesture! BEST-GIG is actually WAM Europe Limited who specialize in distressed stock & customer returns, he's selling returns & refurbs as new.

If it is the original Sensia, I would stay away from it at this stage as it must be at least five years old. We use it in the kitchen and it is fine if a little glitchy at times.

Ours developed a whine when turned off in a certain way and the clock does not permanently display despite several firmware resets. Still as a DAB/internet/FM radio combo that looks really well, it is hard to beat. The sound is also fantastic from them.

Does anyone know how much MB usage is required to strean radio. I have a dongle and it allows me to use only 7680MB MB per month.
    Thanks in advance.

Yes you can and I do it all the time. It is very tedious if you have a large music collection as the screen input lag makes it a pain in the h0le to find anything. Better to create a 'Favourites' folder and put the music you play most into this.

Depends on the station and quality. Most would use about 3.5 megs a minute but it can vary from 1 to 6 or higher on some very high quality stations

It's a kind of 'how long is a piece of string' question, depends on bit rate of of the stream but as a rough guide streaming 8 (movies) video files would use that amount of data

Heh, the voice of experience !
    Yeh can't bate it.

    Thanks. That makes sense.

Yah, would just be intending to use it to listen to audio books.. great way to get to sleep... I generally conk it after half an hour listening to someone prattling on... heh.

So I'd be in the same folder for a week or two depending on the book.

I've an Iomega ix2 200 NAS... not on their list of known NAS's .. on their site...
But it works pretty well normally.. its just a shared folder in windows. and gets picked up by my mac too.. no special messing required...
