Anyone any experience in buying from them? Looking at buying a 2 year old car (141D) from them.

Is it an ex rental car you're interested in? There are a few dealers around there who sold on rentals from hire companies in the airport. Some were doing some haircuts too.

Looking at their stock there and the majority look like ex-rental fodder that were not tidy enough for main dealers to retail.

How do you tell if it's ex-rental?

Was going to go look at this, but seems I probably shouldn't bother.

Another question if you have cash/bank draft what would you be looking at trying to get off for a car at that price?

€19k car for €18.4k? Or should i be bargaining for bigger discount?

It's hard to nail down exactly how to tell it's an ex rental from photos but most ex-rentals usually have above average mileage on them for the year. Some have been registered in counties from the other side of the country. They tend to be 6 to 8 months old, if there is more than one car of the same type for sale you might see them being consecutively registered i.e. 141D1232 and 141d1233 as rental companies tend to bulk lease stock. Wheel trim can be missing or mismatched. Check for signs of excessive wear to bodywork, scraps, dings or poorly repaired panels, etc. Of course all of the above could easily mean it's ex fleet too but more likely ex-rental. Just general tell tail signs that the car was driven by someone who didn't own or care about it.

Cash in the motor trade usually means you don't have a trade-in. It is not the method of payment. And the only way to know you are getting a good discount is to price similar models from a selection of different dealers. Don't be afraid to play them off each other either.

    Octavia badge missing from boot.

Surely you'd get a 161 i30 on scrappage for the same price as that 2 year old skoda?

Great spot, my top budget is €19k (cash as in no trade in) - so maybe i could get it for that.

Pity about the horrible wood trim on the elegance's

edit: I missed it as it's not simi garage, i tend to filter only those. Would this be a big concern?

I see one on outside of boot - is there suppose to be one inside?

I30 too small boot wise - we've twins and twin buggy needs a huge boot.

SIMI adds no value for a customer. There are a fair few cowboy type dealers out there with SIMI signs hanging over their doors, it just means they paid their membership fee.

Are you always this nice when people are trying to help you?
Ill spell it out to you.
On the passenger side, there should be a badge that says "Skoda" this is missing
In the middle there is a skoda logo. This is there,
On the drivers side there should be a badge that says "Octavia". Missing.

This is of concern because it could point at a repair job on the back end.
It could also just be someone who took the badges off.
