    What is the difference between all the default texting apps - Hangouts, Messenger, Messinging etc? There's 4/5 different ones on the phone. And even if I select one, a Pop-up tells me I still need to use another called Call+Message+ to send a text....

    Messaging is generally text messages.
    Hangouts is for people whose gmail address you have.
    Messenger is Facebooks messaging service, so when your facebook friends message you, thats what they use.

    I dont understand.

    Send texts using messaging.
