I had tipped Green Energy the other day only to see it put in a horror show. Very likely that what we saw that day was a prep run for tomorrow. Trainer did the same thing with the horse last year; gave it a run out on the 8th of March, horse came nowhere, then went to win nicely less than two weeks later over the same distance and against similar opposition. Horse saw a bit of money the day it won (despite bombing on all previous attempts over hurdles). Clear that this is a gambling yard, so it's heartening to see there's money down for this one even now. Horse goes in the 1:55 and is best price of 14/1.

I have a whole pile of horses declared in my tracker over the next week, so this could be an expensive week. Still, I like this a lot, having a decent sized bet.

Robert Tyner is having a wretched season so far, but he's got a lot of well handicapped horses going into the new year. Madfuninthewest ran a very good race last time out against Bleu Et Rouge, a horse that impressed massively and is going onto run in graded races next time out. Fancy it better than the unproven Gigginstown horse in the opener at Clonmel.

1.05 Lingfield Chevise has dropped to his last winning mark, 20/1, last two runs have been poor but that price looks stupid, all over it like stink on a monkey.

Morris a positive booking but the old girl looks like she might just have had enough of the game.

No bet but the Dunlop horse in the first looks like an interesting prospect on paper .

Previous C&D winner on the 30th of November in a class 5 race. Up to class 4 in this race but worth an e/w nibble.
