Has anyone received their AEOS 3 payments yet? Just seen on here the AEOS 1 is paid into accounts.

In light of the announcement that all payments will be made before Christmas, I am actually having my doubts!

Would love to hear if anyone knows or has received payment.

YES, 85% in a/c this morning and remaining 15% due tomorrow morning.
Wasn't expecting to get the remaining 15% so soon but won't say no to it :D

    Good for you guys!

Still nothing here. When I eventually got through to the AEOS section at Dept. today they tell me it's cleared for payment and should be in account by Wednesday. This, after being told last week I'd have it paid in today. They don't seem to have a clue.

How do they decide who gets paid and who doesn't if we are all cleared for payment? Very frustrating

Just a couple of quick questions about 2 of the options in AEOS namely Species Rich Grassland and Traditional Hay Meadow. My query relates to the fertiliser usage allowed in these options.

For Species Rich Grassland the: "The maximum total fertiliser which can be applied to the area is 30kgs/ha. This can be a combination of Nitrogen and Phosphorus"
Does this mean that just over a half bag (50kg bag) of nitrogen per ha is all I'm allowed to spread on this plot per year ?

For Traditional Hay Meadow: "The annual nitrogen application is restricted to 30kg's per hectare"
Again does this mean that just over half bag of nitrogen per ha is all I'm allowed to use on this plot per year but I can use as muck P & K as I want on it ?

    Thanks in advance

To convert kg/ha to units/acre you multiply by 0.8. So, 30kg/ha is 24 units per acre or a bag of 18 6 12 per acre (18N+6P=24)

For THM, it's 24 units of N (just less than a bag of CAN 27%N per acre) plus whatever P and K is required depending on indexes.

I used to be like that but now I know that no question is silly to ask , especially when you're paying an advisor .

With Glas set to open for applications in the next month or so have any of us in aeos 3 an option to pull out of last 2 years of aeos and join Glas for the 5 year term as we work out better money wise ?

Or will there be Glas or equivalent scheme when aeos 3 finishes in Dec 2018 for us to join I wonder ?
