    What would it look like?

Sports, politics, humour, memorable TV moments, dead celebs, national achievements. All the usual stuff.

Paris attacks, Connor McGregor, same sex marriage, Greek crisis, Joan Burton, Karen Buckley, Teresa Mannion.

What do you want to see included?

    Kilkenny winning the hurling.
    Dublin the football.
    Ireland qualify for the Euros.
    Berkeley tragedy.
    Carrickmines fire.
    Same sex marriage referendum
Paris for the two times it was attacked by terrorists.
    ISIS
    Refugees/migrants.
Another year of Obama asleep on the job.
    Ireland's economy growing at 7%.
    Climate change talks.
The 'whats in it for me' to end the program.

Paris Terror Attacks - both times

Berkeley Balcony Collapse in CA killing 6 Irish students

    Karen Buckley Murder

    Same Sex Marriage Referendum

These 4 stories would have to make it for me. To be honest they were the only news stories that really stood out this year for me. I would have included the Graham Dwyer trial being the most shocking and disturbing in Irish history but I think the Karen Buckley case blew that one out of the water, being one of the most high profile murders in recent years in both Ireland and the UK.

Would also include the death of Bill O'Herlihy.

If the past few months is anything to go on then it will be 27 mins of the Berkeley balcony collapse and 3 mins of everything else. There's media coverage overkill and then there's Berkeley.

It will show Walters scoring against Bosnia, followed by a "but meanwhile..." and show the last Argentinian try in the RWC.

The Graham Dwyer trial and the (imo) horrible coverage of it, journalists salivating for salacious details of the poor victim's life.

In sport, I think it would have to be the governing bodies' scandals - FIFA: Blatter, Platini etc and the Russian doping program.

In the RIP section, I'd hope Derek Davis would get a mention (always seemed like a decent guy and enjoyable broadcaster), as well as Bill O'Herlihy and Tony Fenton.
