Not too exciting but you'll be glad of it if you need it.

AA Breakdown and Safety Kit for ~€25.
It's £20stg on the website. Use promo code DEC10 for another 10% off.

    Description:
This comprehensive kit comes with a range of handy essentials to help you deal with breakdown and emergency situations - including a high-visibility jacket, warning triangle, tow rope and booster cables.

The kit also includes the AA Foot Pump which is compact and convenient to store in your car to maintain tyre pressures. it can even be used to pump up camping beds, bicycle tyres or other inflatables.

All of the items can be neatly stored in the boot of your car, or carried around, using the AA branded, canvas style carry bag.

    Kit includes:

        Foot Pump
        Warning Triangle
        High Visibility Vest

Have one of these kits, pump is very poor quality, didn't last long. jump leads got very hot when jumping a diesel Passat. Plus the zip on the bag failed....

    So........ what, like 9/10?

Rest of the stuff is ok, torch is in my glove box, used it a couple of times, vest and hammer are still unopened under my seat (for quick access, if ever needed), have used the tow rope a couple of times, warning triangle is still unused but looks like its is good quality.
I'm going to replace the jumper leads and get a better quality foot pump, but over all for how much I paid for it, I'm happy enough.

Apparently diesel draw more current from the battery... so need thicker jump leads.

Nice spot, OP — it's over £35/€50 on Amazon.

DD just got a new Yaris and this will make a nice stocking-filler.

Or should that be boot-filler? :pac::pac::pac:

That'd fill all of the boot :D

Definitely good value compared to buying everything individually even if the jump leads and foot pump aren't so good.

Jump leads will cost you €15 minimum for a basic pair. I've 4 sets of jump leads in the zip bags they came in and they are all torn

I had to replace a warning triangle after some dolt ran over mine when it was deployed and it cost me £5.99 via amazon.

The tow rope is £8.75 from Amazon prime so you're already spending more on them 3 items alone.

Hi viz jackets you can get for free from the council ;)

Which reminds me, you can order them free from the RSA here. The rucksack covers are really useful as a general help against rain too.
