    Hi all,

So Cex rejected my phone there on the grounds that there was a spot of tippex on the inside near the battery. I suspect it was when the cover I had broke at work and I put it on top of something.

Imo this is a stupid reason, it took 2 seconds to remove and works perfect. They said it passed the test otherwise.

I suspect it was more personal as I bought a phone from them last year which didn't work. Returned and selected 3 more phones which didn't work either before they finally refunded me. I was dealing with the same guy today so I'd say he lost his commission last time.

Anyways, if I take it to a different branch now, will they know? Are all cex connected like with the IMEI numbers they tested? Obviously I wouldn't use my account

    Thanks!

Would you try adverts or donedeal?
You'd get a better price from there than you'd get from cex.

As the tipex is now gone, can you not resubmit it?

They won't take it as they were aware it was there and say it was a risk to the internals
