Wireless HDMI?

    Hi all.
I just got a large smart TV to replace an old CRT one in the living room. Presently I have a sky+ box in the attic and am feeding a a few sets around the house with Coax and a splitter which is fine for the smaller screens.
I have a new HD box and getting it set up is turning out to be more complicated than I expected.
If I place the new box in the attic I need to get a HD feed to the new set and also get an analogue signal to the others.
I have run into two problems:
    1. The new box doesn't have a coax jack and I can't find a coax/scart adaptor anywhere online - maybe I'm using the wrong description?

    2. Surface cabling isn't an option so I need to find a wireless HD AV sender for the new set. I got a €80 kit from maplin- it produces a fair quality picture when set up in the same room as the set but is not able to penetrate the concrete first floor of the house - it is nearly half a meter thick bit WiFi seems to pass through it fine.
The last post on this topic was a year ago and suggested an expensive piece of kit that is presently out of stock so I am hoping something else has come along in the meantime.

As a complete last resort I could route an HDMI cable from the set to the attic but it would take around 30m. Is it possible to buy HDMI (or equivalent) cable by the metre?

Thanks in advance for any help.

You would be better moving the Sky Box and Modulator to the room where the HD TV is and then running coax cables back to the attic and junctioning where the old coax cables where. If thats not an option then in order to get a HDMI feed from the Sky Box you will need your 30m of HDMI cable and an amplifier for HDMI, like one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Neet%C2%AE-Extender-Amplified-Repeater-Supports/dp/B002C77FTI

Thanks! I hadn't thought of doing it the other way round. I can manage to get a dual cable from the dish to the sitting room alright if I lift a few floorboards and drill the odd hole. Then I connect the existing coax on the wall socket to the sky box ( still don't know how I can do this as there's only a scart plug on the box) to use it as a feed for the rest of the house, swap a few cables on the spltter box in the attic and that's it sorted?
I believe the magic eye uses RF via the cable so it should still work?
Thanks again for the quick reply. A lot less expensive and a better result than a wireless link.
Maybe I'm missing the obvious on the scart/rca to coax?

The obvious is that there is no RF output on the new Sky+ boxes you need one of these.

Heres how to install it. http://www.freetv.ie/how-to-install-an-io-link.html

Ahhhh.. that makes sense now that you say it but I would have been a long time figuring it out. Looks like a neat solution. Much obliged.

Just remember, if you are going to res-position the Sky HD box to the HDTV room that you will need to extend the satellite cable that was in the attic going to where you had the old sky box to the HDTV/Sky Box/IO LINK room.

You will also need to run a cable to the HDTV room in order to run this back to the input on your distribution amp/splitter in the attic.
