Bose QC25 Headphones - opinions?

I was in Heathrow during the week & was killing time browsing in Dixons. Tried the BoseQC25 headphones & was absolutely amazed at (1) how light they were & (2) how effective they were in eliminating noise. In the middle of a busy store in a busy airport, I couldn't hear any outside noise at all

Anyone got them & able to offer any opinions or perhaps recommend a competing product that might not be as expensive but is as good/light?

Since Bose own all the good patents, they're pretty much the only high-end game in town right now.

If you travel a lot and/or can afford them, they're a good option.

Got these this Christmas. Very nice. They are of course too expensive, but the noise cancelling is bordering on weird it's so good and I put them head to head against my Denon D2000s and Amp and they are far from disgraced.
