    Hello.
Just wondering if any of ye were at the night vision demo at mulvihill's in Longford last night.
What are your views on the targets they had set up? apparently they were 100 yards, 200 yards, 300 yards and 400 yards.

They said on facebook they set up and ranged them with a leica range finder.

A lot of people (myself included) cant judge accurately at night, especially if its not familiar ground.

Why not believe them? Im sure they knew people would have an idea of ranges or that someone might have a range finder?

Didn't say I don't believe them. 200 yards is a long way at night not to talk of 400 yards.

Think the scope capability under the lamp is more important than a lamp that can go on for ever.
There are lots of lamps out there for small, reasonable and big money and all are governed by the batteries also.

You're right there, glass quality and the zoom you're used to shooting with is a major factor.

The only night vision I saw and was interested in was the nite site gear.
Camera mounted on to scope with monitor on top.
Spotter was a handheld unit for scanning fields.
