Inspiring 15 sound issue

    Hi all,
I recently bought a new inspiron 15 laptop from dell, but unfortunately I let it fall by accident and whilst everything else is OK(thanks be to God), the sound I get from my headphones has been vastly reduced in quality, there is very little bass and it just isn't as good as it was. It's not an issue with the headphones because they work perfectly with all my other digital devices. So my question is how could I go about fixing this problem....what sort of hardware and/or software would I need?.
    Many thanks,
    BBL
