Internship during college

As part of my 4 year degree, the second semester of my 3rd year I have to work as an intern in a relevant job.

I have secured one and I start in late January for 6 months. I was wondering if I was eligible to claim anything at all since I'm actually still in college and it's a full time degree.

I'm a mature student and living with my parents.

The job pays €70 a week and is Monday to Friday 9-6. I'm currently working a part time job but I don't think they will let me stay on with reduced hours, I'm going in to speak to my manager about it tomorrow.

    Thanks!

Are you in BTEA? If so you should retain it for the duration of the the placement as it is considered part of your course.
