The 738 podcast with Andrew Mangan

This is an interesting anorak podcast in which mostly radio presenters are interviewed, however recently I think the host has made a dogs dinner out of the interviews, e.g this week he interviewed Brian Mccoll but he didn't ask him about his turbulent time at 4fm, a couple of weeks ago Ian Dempsey was interviewed but he didn't ask him anything about 2fms efforts to rehire him in the mid 00s.

I have listened to a few of them. Other than the fact that I'm an anorak and enjoy hearing about radio history etc I think the interviewer is so unprofessional and the interviews lack any depth or structure.

Just listened to his podcast with Marty Miller. It was very good and kind of reminded me of why I loved radio.

Why Mango isn't on the radio is a huge mystery of me.

Bit harsh lads.. found this recently and like the laid-back Interview style. Its a podcast not having to worry about language or a PD or what people say about it hiding under usernames on forums. Really enjoyed it. Great voice to boot.

Listening through the morning he seems to bring Tipp FM into every podcast I've listened to. Tipp FM seems to have scarred him.

That Andrew Mangan guy is the biggest narcissist interviewer I've ever heard. This from his Jim O'Neill interview, Jim O'Neill : I lived in South Africa for 10 years, Andrew Mangan : oh really, I lived in Spain once for 3 months. 🙄

I was not aware of Andrew Mangan, aka Dave Adams, until he turned up on at least one of the temporary license runs for 949 The Rock during the '00s. I subsequently learned that he was doing a number of the voiceovers for Christmas FM, even though he had no interest in presenting on it. I learnt that he was with the pirates Kiss103 and Pulse FM. Was he with any other stations, pirates or licensed?

I learnt since then that Andrew did stints with Radio Dublin and Signal 106.
