Are you a bottler/choker?

Do you fold under pressure or do you thrive under it?

I have a tendency to bottle things when playing sport, 3ft putts in golf, black ball in pool, pulling the last dart when on a 180. I just lose all rhythm and overthink the situation, makes me so angry at times. It's what separates the average from the elite.

In my working life it's not really a problem, I find I perform better when there's a fire lit under me.

I love pressure, nothing better then sinking an important putt or hitting the winning dart. Get a great buzz from it.

    Depends on the situation.

Deadline to be meet with little time, angry boss and a giant spanner in the works appears, I'd be fine.

Godzilla emerges to cause havoc followed by the zombie pandemic, not so fine.

Not in sports. Used to play for pool and darts teams and it was a great feeling play an away game and beat the other teams top player.

Football is another one. Might be something of a cliché but I often find things moving in slow motion at pivotal moments.

Here's an eg of a choke, he takes that second too long over it, second guesses himself and overcuts what is a routine black for a professional.

Pretty good at remaining relatively calm under pressure - it's something I have had to teach myself though. Panicking definitely makes things worse, even though it can be harder to stay calm.

    I definitely am.

I can't handle pressure at all and my only way of dealing with it is to avoid pressure and I do whatever I can in life to avoid being in any sort of pressure situation.

I was the same when I played football the only time I could kick the ball over the bar was when I didn't think about it and took a shot as soon as I got the ball.Once I spent any time thinking about what I was doing it make a complete balls of it.That probably the same reason Paul Cahillane missed an absolute sitter for Portlaoise last week and I suspect that affects much better players than me across many sports.

Bottling and choking...stabbing is more effective. I'm a stabber.

Personally I know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em.

It's just to bad I've chosen a life of working in a laundromat instead of becoming a gambler.

    pressure is for tyres.

I am actually bored in life and work without carnage going on. I kinda love it.

I feel like I only perform under pressure. I love those scenarios above. That may sound like a positive but it's not without a major problem... my head isn't "in it" if there isn't much on the line, which is most of the time.

I thrive under pressure at work.

Anything skill or sports related I'm usually okay if I feel confident in my abilities. But for some inexplicable reason if someone says "you're doing well", "nice one" or anything like that, I completely bottle it.

    Mixed bag.

    Work wise thrive under pressure.

Have been involved in two or three life or death situations, and have been cool as a breeze during the event, take control, solution orientated etc. Only to turn into a complete wreck afterwards, tears, shakes, stutters etc.

Completely choke when it comes to parellel parking when under pressure to do so quickly!!!!

Trying to think of a witty reply but choked. :(
