    Hi
That time of year where I need to put anti freeze into my tractor. It is a case 995 XL and I am trying to find the drain plug which I think is on the side of the engine but can't locate it. Any suggestions?

I Have a 885xl the drain plug on the engine is located just above the starter towards the cab.

Thanks Genuineguy. I think I have found it. Is it a a bolt screwed into the side of the block back near the cab? I can see some of the threads on the bolt as if it is not fully screwed in.

    unless you have leaks

you would be better off using a winter/summer coolant and leaving in all the time

less corrosion more uniform operating temp during the year to name a couple of benefits

Good quality year round coolant/antifreeze mix is the best for these tractors. The cooling systems in them hate water and especially water from areas with calcification issues. A good quality coolant with active corrosion inhibitors would be very beneficial and should make for a very reliable cooling system for years to come.
