Have a Zonda's wheelset shimano hub and I want to put a 10 speed spam cassette on . Would I need to put a spacer on it first?

I got a pair of Zonda's last year and they came with a 10 speed spacer.

I'm sure it's here somewhere - I'll have a look at the weekend and if I find it, you can have it.

PM me over the weekend as I'll be a bit forgetful this weekend with all the Christmas parties.

As it happens I have a Zonda manual in my desk beside me. And I quote:

    Section 5.3.1 - ASSEMBLY
    Shimano Inc. - sprockets
    2) if you fit a 10s sprocket set, you must first put the adaptor spacer provided with the sprockets onto the freewheel body (Fig.7). This spacer is not necessary for 8s and 9s sprocket sets.

not needed for Shimano 11s either

Surely you would need a spacer too if putting on a 9 speed cassette

why ? 9sp cassettes tend to have a larger gap between sprockets and the overall cassette would therefore tend not to require a spacer.

Interesting... was just looking at a new set of wheels to go with my 9 speed Tiagra. Love the look of those Zondas, was thinking maybe them or else a set of Fulcrum Racing 3s.

If you can get Zondas cheaper than Racing 3s, go for them. They are, to all intents and purposes, identical.
Fulcrum wheels are made by Campagnolo.
