I've just seen the Flip 3 for sale in the PC World in Jervis St Shopping Centre for only €79.99.
To me this seems like a great bargain as it's got great reviews and is even cheaper than the Flip 2. About 18 in stock, black and grey.

For anyone else that has to go looking it up: this is a splashproof Bluetooth speaker made by JBL.

Apologies for not giving more info. Here's a good review of it: http://www.androidpolice.com/2015/09/25/jbl-xtreme-and-flip-3-review-competition-destroyed/

I bought this one off aliexpress & you would hear it down the street with 6watts of power compared to the 1.5 -2 watts that most of these speakers have .

I “bought” one of these from PCWorld online 8 days ago now. I opted for delivery rather than collecting in store, it has shown as “Order Pending” since then.

They state that you should expect to await 7 - 10 days for delivery so in theory it’s all good. However, they sent me a tracking link via e-mail which points to their www.currys.ie website, and the order shows there as not found. I found a corresponding tracking link on www.pcworld.ie though and it shows “Order Pending” via that. That disparity was a concern so I e-mailed them 2 days ago asking them to confirm that the order is really being processed. They haven’t replied, other than an automated mail response repeating that I should allow 7 - 10 days for delivery.

They’d reserved payment against my credit card but it looks this morning like that is no longer the case. The lack of response to my mail, the continued lack of progress of my order, and now the charge against my credit card seeming to have disappeared make me very sceptical that I’ll receive my order.

Maybe they’ll come good, but this is the first time I’ve bought from them online and my experience to date has not been good. I wouldn’t recommend them. Maybe they are fine for online orders if you choose in-store pickup, maybe not.

Update: I received my speaker yesterday. It shipped 10 days after I ordered it and arrived 2 days later. Oddly, the shipping label suggested it shipped from eastern europe, can't remember which country, maybe Romania.

As per my previous post, I e-mailed them on the 9th asking them to confirm the order was being processed correctly. No response. I phoned them 2 days later, their number brought me to what seemed to be a helpdesk in the UK. The guy I spoke to was very upbeat and chirpy, even told me he has the previous version of this speaker and it's great. He also told me though that their only means of reaching their counterparts in Ireland is to e-mail them. So he e-mailed them asking them to ring me.

2 days later the order shipped. I received no call from PC World, and no response to my e-mail either. So it's a decent price for what seems to be a decent speaker, but the customer service from the Irish arm of PC World was non-existent in my case, it wouldn't encourage me to buy online from them again.
