Call them "vintage" if you like... they're old, that's certain. 5-speed, came off an old 70's Bianchi I'm upgrading.

Tubular wheels, 36 hole, OFMEGA skewers (hubs probably are OFMEGA too, though they're not marked), Nisi rims.

Tyres are shot, but seem to be holding air.

5-speed cassette included! If you want the old chain, you can have that too :)

    Front: €25
    Rear: €45
    Both: €60

    Pick up in Dublin (D5).

    (Pics coming...)

Actually, looks like I can't post pics yet. No links either.

OK, here's a workaround: I've uploaded them to a website, and if you're interested in looking at an image you can insert the photo's URL into your browser addressbar.

    The front wheel is "IMG_8369.JPG"
    The rear wheel is "IMG_8374.JPG"

    Hi Turtle,

Well written write up on the website - well done!

I couldn't find the pic of the wheels though!

    Best wishes,

    Brendan

Let's try a pseudo-link to those wheels again:

Thanks lads, for some reason I didn't get an e-mail update of your posts.

    Eamon, how's the shoulder?

Turtle, I'm probably interested alright. In Dublin next week, will post when I know my plans. Let me know if you're looking for anything by way of part exchange.

    Cheers lads,

    Brendan

It's coming on. Had to have plate put in. Hope to be back on bike in 2 weeks.

Sounds good. I'm not really looking for anything at the moment - though if you have a Park DAG-2 for sale (rear derailleur alignment tool, who doesn't need one of those?), I'd be interested in that.

By the way, these are 27" (*not 700c*), which should make a difference to anyone interested.

    Aha Turtle,

I've just seen your post - I think 27" tubs are not what I need right now. Still getting over my mistaken purchase of a set of 27x11/4 wolber champion on super record hubs. I mean, really?

No park tools for me, my vintage bikes are still maintained by a chipped screw driver and a loose head hammer!

    Good luck with the sale.

Eamon if you're reading this I wish you well with what sounds like a protracted recovery. Keep an eye on oldvelos for a rerun of the Vintage International Classic.

    Bren
