    Hi all
I've approached that time in my life where I am deciding what masters to do. I'm one of those people that is interested in a few things so my Arts degree is good in the sense that it leaves a few doors open for me, but hasn't drawn me to pin anything down for definite.
I have a h.dip in social policy which leaves the door open for a future in social care/ youth and community work but I am also interested in graphic design. I did a multimedia course in St.Johns in Cork ten years ago so its always been in my head.
What I am wondering is if I can do a masters in graphic design without out having any academic experience or will I need to start from the bottom again.
If anyone has advice on what to do, courses etc please give a shout. I'm based in Galway but prepared to travel. Thanks :)

Hi there. Graphic design is a hybrid craft/academic discipline. A masters would only be realistically doable if you had the requisite craft background in illustration or typography or printmaking etc.
