So we are after a 32" Smart TV for a kitchen come lounge area, we have our other Samsung Smart TV rooted and hacked to get the British and Irish on demand players (at the same time), and we are happy with the user interface - what I mean by this is I think some in the household would be overwhelmed learning how to use a different set up! We do not require a curved screen or 3D display.

Any opinions on Samsung UE32J5500? I would consider a different brand and model if there was better picture quality and user interface. Another reason I am comfortable with Samsung is that I know I can install RTE Player and BBC iPlayer, All4, and ITV player all at the same time, I do not know if that is the case with other brands?

I found the following has UE32J5500 for €379 - €429 at different places in Ireland - some at least out of stock (argos had it cheaper but out of stock everywhere I checked):

I also found a German site has it for €333 (and I think €10 delivery):

Having a remote with some of the buttons noticeably in German would bother me, although I am not sure if it bothers more than I would like to save money! :D

    Thoughts?
