lots of hardback cookery books priced at less than £5 - this happened a couple of years ago too...

Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsay, Mary Berry, hairy bikers, delia smith, etc

edit - just spotted blackplums thread about Rick Steins India book - maybe a mod could merge?

Warning to anyone buying this, some of the ingredients used are ridiculously hard to find here, and won't be available in your local supermarket. In saying that if you go to the effort of getting the proper ingredients the dishes are fantastic.

Does the old trick work for free delivery where you order over the £25, then cancel some items?

amateur chef here and I got one similar to that last year and found practically nothing in my local shop.
Theres an Indian grocer on Mary st in Dublin city centre. Had everything I was looking for. Most of the dried spices you can buy in bulk in there and even stuff like curry powders are in 1kg bags at the same price youre buying little containers of it from your local shop.

Took your advice and used one of my free parcel wizard deliveries, and I also signed up to Prime 1 month trial, which gave me free one day delivery
