Stupidest thing you requested off Santa?

Once upon a time, we were all thick as sh*t. We were under the illusion that some fella slides down our chimney once a year with whatever gifts our pea-sized brains thought of. Remote control car which could also fly? You've got it. A WWF toy of Sable which you can literally undress? Why not. Mario Kart for the Sega Saturn? Nae bodge. Whatever you wanted, Santa could get - or so we believed.

When I was about eight, I wanted a video of Father Ted. I didn't want a series - I just wanted one episode. Which one? The father Damien one. Back then, saying 'fup' instead of 'f*ck' was the funniest sh*t I had ever heard. I remember the schoolyard being rife with jovial 'grasshole' insults after it initially aired. Anywho, not only did I want this one episode on video - I wanted it to be in a green box. That was my colour at the time and anything less would be unacceptable. But it's coming from Santa who, like Peter North, comes good all the time. Not this year, my friends.

I can't remember being happy or disappointed, but I do remember getting the series. I've since gotten over it, but I'm guessing there's been some equally stupid requests from the man himself?

    Reminds me of a joke.

What's the fastest vehicle on land?

    Stevie Wonder's speedboat.

...I didn't say it was a good joke.

One of my kids once gave me a letter to send to Santa that included the usual toys and games, and a request that "all Pokemon be really real and can I have a real live Pokemon of my own". Er, no.
