    Amazon has set January 22 for the premiere of Mad Dogs, the hour-long thriller-comedy series whose pilot streamed during Amazon pilot season earlier in 2015. Created by Cris Cole and based on his UK show of the same name, Mad Dogs will be available exclusively for Amazon Prime members in the US, UK, Germany and Austria in SD, HD, and 4K Ultra HD on compatible devices. In advance of the series premiere, the first episode is available to Prime users now.
    Mad Dogs follows the increasingly dark occurrences stemming from the reunion of Cobi, Lex, Gus and Joel, friends since college but now in their 40s and at very differing places in their lives. Brought together for an exotic vacation to celebrate the early retirement of their wealthy friend Milo, the party becomes a nightmare of deception, lies, and murder, forcing the quartet to survive by trusting the people they least should: one another. It stars Steve Zahn (Dallas Buyers Club) as Cobi, Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos) as Lex, Billy Zane (Titanic) as Milo, Romany Malco (Weeds) as Gus, and Ben Chaplin (The Thin Red Line) as Joel.

    Also starring in the series are Phil Davis as Lawrence, Maria Botto (Soldiers of Salamia) as Sophia, Adria Tennor (The Artist) as Abby and Allison Tolman (Fargo) as Rochelle. Directors during the debut season include Uta Briesewitz (Hung), John David Coles (House of Cards), Randall Einhorn (Wilfred), Guy Ferland (Sons of Anarchy), Alex Graves (Proof), Ted Griffin (Terriers), Clark Johnson (Homeland), Charles McDougall (The Office), Mark Piznarski (Gossip Girl), and Craig Zisk (Parks and Recreation).


    Mad Dogs is executive produced by Cole, Shawn Ryan (The Shield), Marney Hochman (Last Resort), Andy Harries (Strikeback), Suzanne Mackie (Kinky Boots), and Charles McDougall (The Good Wife). Luillo Ruiz (Welcome to the Jungle) and Ken Topolsky (Dallas) are prodicing, with Danielle Weinstock (Legends) serving as Line Producer for the pilot.

    I found it an enjoyable pilot with a strong cast and it compared well to the UK version

    Looking forward to this.

    Really enjoyed the Sky production even if it did run out of steam towards the end.
