Cohesive it is not, but is is striking. Like most Merc interiors I'd say it will date very quickly.

Heavily borrowed from the current S class.
    I like it.
I'm even coming around to the current c class interior with the screen sticking out of the dash.

i think its the brown that will make it look dated, set it to black and will look better, in my view anyway

A bit meh. For instance having seat controls in the middle of the door console feels strange. How often do you change those ever?

I like the centre console, those are great.

Well at least they haven't glued a fake iPad to the top of the dash this time!

    Are brakes an optional extra?

They may aswell be with the way the industry is progressing. (Auto braking, Auto pilot, auto everything)

It's logical to put all seat related stuff together though

Bollocks. It's about easily showing the lesser mortals that you've spent on memory seats with massage function. And if anyone doesn't like it, don't worry, you'll probably never see any of it on 99% of Irish cars.

Bar the colour, I really like it. It is another case of Russian doll styling though.

Don't like it TBH.. reminds me of a 50s idea of "futuristic"

    Nice place to be IMO.

Overkill of chrome on switch gear imo.

It's the speakers that ruin it for me

That said, it could be lovely in reality.

The centre console looks very elegant. The rest of it - very fussy and cluttered.

We all have our own preferences.

The full glass cockpit should mean that the layout and appearance of dials and guages etc can be altered to suit all preference.

They have said that lower grade models will have separate dials and a smaller display screen.
I suspect that is what will be more common here.
Also the seat controls and probably loads of other kit will not be standard so cabin may look more stark than this. The brown does it no favours either.
All in all very predictable across between a c class and s class which I suppose in effect is what it is.
