Looking for a jeep/suv type

    The OH is looking a new car and is looking at something like a ix35 or Quasquai or sportage something along those lines, took a few for a spin and she seems to prefer the ix35 but i was wondering if the knowledgeable peop here might have some experience with something similair? cheers

    They are pretty much the top sellers in that class so it would really boil down to which one she prefers the most.

    The ix35 has been replaced by the Tucson. Prob good deals on outgoing ix35's but be aware that they are old model and will affect resale down the line.

    ok going to be going into a few garages over the weekend see what deal i can get, anyone any advise on how to push for a real good cash price? Think she is set on the ix35 maybe a year or 2 old

    There is no answer to that question in the shape of a figure. There are too many variables to take into account. The important thing to do is compare prices of similar cars at different dealers and try to play them off each other for the lowest price.

    If you have a car to trade in then the important figure is the cost to change price, don't get sucked in by the best trade-in price of your old car as these figures can be massaged by dealer to make the deal look better and adding it back onto the cost of the car they are selling.

    No it will be a cash sale as to get the best deal possible, there is a car to sell but will sell it privately to get the max for it, its an 08 civic 2.2 95k

    Yeah going to have a good idea on the year, milages, spec etc and have an idea what i want and what price id like and im hoping that buying at end/start of year plays to my advantage too
