    Hi guys,

Thought I'd post this and see if you had any suggestions.
    I have a 2014 diesel 1.4, 40,000K on the clock.
    Serviced within correct mileage.
Over the past 2 months the car takes 3/4 attempts to start in the morning.
Once started it will start no problem throughout the day.
Kia advised it may be the fuel filter so we had this changed. Problem persisted.
    Diagnostics checked no issues appeared.
I'm not a car enthusiast so I don't know what it might be?
Any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Needs to go to a kia dealer.Ive a feeling that its the clutch pedal switch.
You have to press the clutch to start the car and ive seen a few switches fail.

Usually shows a fault on the diagnostic tool.

Wouldn't the clutch switch just mean the starter wouldn't turn?
If that were the symptoms, I can't see them replacing a filter as a fix.

Thank you for your response, Would that problem not effect the car every time you attempt to start it? Thus problem only happens after its been sitting over night.

Nope it can effect it intermittently. Symptoms sound exactly like a clutch switch.
Usually its overnight, and next morning it won't or can be very slow to start.

Easy way to test it.Press the clutch pedal as hard as you can first time you try tomorrow morning. If its better tomorrow then its more than likely the issue.

Are you waiting for the heater plugs to warm up?

OH has 1.6 version and first start on a cold day is hesitant if key is turned too quickly.

On the plus side you still have 5 years warranty left!
