Ink Cartridge and Laptop Battery recyling?

Not sure where to put this, but does anyone know the best place to recycle these items? I remember Jack and Jill and Tesco were doing an ink cartridge recycling program but both seem to have stopped now? I know Tesco also take regular batteries in the little battery bins (size of a trocaire box) they have, but I'm not sure about a big laptop battery?

I'm assuming as Jack and Jill were taking these before, they are at least of some use to someone so I'd rather somebody get use from them if possible.

    Any feedback appreciated :)

What about Harvey Norman or PC World. I'd imagine they would know of somewhere even if they don't do it themselves

For old batteries - any place that sells the type of battery you have will take it free of charge - no new purchase needed.

Cartridges - Jack and Jill don't do them any more.

Great recycling centre in Navan run by Oxigen. I think they own Bord Na Mona. They definitely take ink cartridges and laptop batteries.

    Have a look here

You could email Aengus and ask him. I think he "recycled" quite a few in his time.

Companies/charities got wise that they would only take certain cartridges as taking a load of them they aint worth a ****e to them after they are sorted.

I see on the links above only certain brands are taken by one crowd and you need a minimum of 5/10 to give to the other, I don't qualify for either of these and if they aren't worth anything, fair enough, but I'd still like to dispose of them properly with the minimum fuss, I thought you could drop them into Tesco before too??
