I am 30. After 1 year and 2 month of orthodontic treatment i got my braces off today and i am really unhappy with the result , but my orthodontist saying my teeth are now perfect . Before treatment i didn't have any byte related problem and aesthetic improvement was my only goal to chose braces. Really need suggestions.

Did you tell the orthodontist you were unhappy?

Was the treatment done in Ireland? At the beginning of treatment, did the orthodontist give an indication of the result that could be achieved or did s(he) inform you of any limitations? And did the orthodontist explain why the issue you are unhappy about could not be improved?

You have to explain to the orthodontist what you are unhappy about and what it is that you want changed, s(he) will then outline any problems with achieving this, it may just be that you are at the limit of what can be done with braces.

If you could post a before & after picture outlining your concerns it would be useful.
What specifically are you unhappy with?
Are the teeth fully straight? What's the verdict of close friends/family on the cosmetic result?

I wish to post picuture but I am getting a message that I cant post picture as I am a new user.

after getting braces off I went to a cosmetic dentist for veneering in my front teeth and he said my treatment doesn't seems complete and my front teeth are angular and it need to teeth extraction and then braces treatment to correct the angulation. I was frustrated but I thought I should consult to another orthodontist and I visited another ortho. He said other things are ok but my front teeth are angular teeth extraction is must for treatment. when I discus this my ortho dentist he start convincing me. Really confuse and sad need advice.

Was it explained to you that for an ideal result you would need extractions and longer treatment time. While you subjectively have no bite issues the correct of these is needed to properly fix the front tooth issues. 1 year is a very short time with braces.

Do you have any issue with the bridgework colourwise? Was this done in ireland
    ?

no my ortho didn't tell me anything during or before treatment neither he asked me what I want nor he told what is treatment plan. he just started and after 1 year to month he took the braces off saying treatment complete. in between he change the wire and power chains on monthly bases. And when I got my molar bridges I found little color difference compare to my original but I did not object as they are not visible in day to day life.
no it was not done in Ireland. I want to know that is it seems perfect as he told? please help

Where was the orthodontic treatment done and was th bridgework done by th same dentist?

Why do you want to put veneers on your teeth? It looks like your teeth are healthy& unrestored. Veneers only last 5-7 years on average. It's a big dental& financial commitment to have veneers.

What does your cosmetic dentist mean when they said your teeth are "angular"?

Did you explain to the orthodontist that you were also seeing another dental practitioner, or vice versa, & put the two of them in contact BEFORE the start of your treatment so they could work & plan your treatment plan together? Or are you their only link?

Actually my both front teeth of upper arch was very short compare to my canine teeth so to get them fix went to cosmetic dentist after my braces off. when cosmetic dentist checked my teeth he told to me that the angle of my front teeth are not correct because of this my lower front teeth are pushing my upper front teeth upward ( you can better understand this position by a putting a straight line below of a backward slash) its better if first I will get them fix. I told to him that I will get them fix later and ask him to do the Laser-Sintered Composite Veneering. after finishing veneering he said he wanted to make these teeth little bit more longer but unable due to the wrong angle of teethes. if he will increase the length further then the teeth will increase to go out side of the arch line in relation to length.

I didn't want to doubt on my orthodontist so I cross check the statement of cosmetic dentist's statement with another orthodontist and he also gave the same opinion.

That was not possible to explain to my orthodontist earlier that I am seeing another dental practitioner. as I went to the cosmetic dentist after getting braces off. But after seeing cosmetic dentist and another Orthodontist I explained all these things to my orthodontist.

Bridgework and braces treatment in same clinic but not by the same person , braces treatment done by orthodontist and bridgework done by his assistant who was a B.D.S degree holder.

I just want to know what you people think , is it seems like a perfect treatment and I should keep my mouth shut or I should ask for the to my orthodontist to give a proper and perfect treatment which really worth my money and correct this so could smile without lack of confidence.

Can a "perfect smile" be attained or is it limited by the relationship of your jaws to one another? It looks as if your uppers are proclined due to the position of your lower jaw and the inclination of all of your teeth. Your teeth might be as straight as they can possibly be in the circumstances.

Are you happy to lose 4 good teeth in order to make them a little straighter? Most dentists/orthodontists would prefer non extraction route.

yes I am ok with teeth extraction if it is necessity. One more thing in which I am confuse , one dentist told me there is only two lower teeth require to be extracted and other said two lower and two upper. what is your opinion according my teeth ?

I don't have an opinion on that, you really need to decide which one you are more comfortable with, that is what second opinions are all about, you get different opinions from different practitioners. You have to weigh up the good and bad things about each, and then go with the one you like.

exactly I was asking do you think two lower teeth extraction solve the purpose or there is requirement of 4 teeth extraction?

I can't answer that based on a photo, just consider what both said and decide which one you are more confident will give you the result you want. It is pointless asking for specific treatment advice on a chat forum.

It's hard to tell from the photo.
I've been debating with myself over and over about getting braces.
I don't want to have to wear the thing at night time forever! :(
Even still, I would be like you.. I'd not be happy and expect perfection. Lol
