'Road', the story of the two generations of Dunlop brothers is not just one of the best sports documentaries, but one of the best docs of any genre I've seen.

Pat Comer's doc about the Galway football (GAA) team's '98 season is an oldie but goodie, if you can find it: 'A Year Till Sunday'.

And the Paul Kimmage doc from last year is well worth a watch too.

There are a few good ones that pop up on Setanta Ireland from time to time. 'We Got Game - The Golden Age of Irish Basketball' is the best one. Tells the story of how popular the sport was here in the 80s. If interested in horse racing 'Master of Cool' is worth a watch, profiles the trainer Jim Bolger.
