does a draughty attic pull heat from mineral wool?

    I have a dormer & converted attic space .
The crawl space behind the walls gets very cold/draughty.
The walls in crawl space have glass/mineral wool on top of foil backed plasterboard.
Would I be right in thinking the movement of air pulls heat from the mineral wool.
If so , would a solution be covering the mineral wool with a breathable membrane (any suggestions?) to seal the wool from main draughtiness or maybe put solid insulation over the wool e.g. polystyrene /kingspan? or
seal off the sloped roof with a membrane to stop draughts.
I do understand that some ventilation is required ..

The risk is that you get condensation within the roof, potentially rotting the timber, warping the plasterboard and making the fibreglass soggy.
