VW GOLF - Lost car keys

My car is parked outside my front door and I've lost the car keys.

What's the process ? Most main dealers are closed until the morning.

It's a fob key. I've no spare. 2008 Golf.

Bought a 2013 golf month agoDealer said only came with one key.I said i needed second key and got cash off to cover cost of replacement.Went to vw dealer where stadard practice now is to bring in log boo,verify and then order key-3 day wait-which is then programmed-1 hour.In the end i got call from seller to say previos owner had found spare ey and eft it in so i avoided hassle.Some locsmiths advertise vw key cutting but i think youd need to mae sure they have the code readers etc required .vw deaer was pricing 160 for ey and 50 for recode

You didn't leave it on the seat by mistake, and it then locked its self? Did you tdy looking through the windows with a torch?

Have searched all over... can't for the life of me find it.

Will VW be able to send someone out to my house (approx 2miles from a VW dealership) and do the job there and then outside the property?

You'd need to ask them that.
