Choice of company car in new year all going well i40 or mazda 6. 1st world problems I know.

Maybe left field but thinking of throwing Tucson & CX5 into mix and see how fleet manager takes suggestion.

It will be either Hundai or mazda nothing else on the table.

Doing around 40kms per year have 3 kids and 12-8 and they'll be in it a bit taxing them around to the usual bits.

Any suggestions I have driven both (i40 a bit more actually) I prefer outside of 6 but interior of i40. Have a thought for the two crossovers for a change any suggestions

It's good that you don't have to worry about fuel, depreciation, servicing etc.

If prob get the Tucson over the i40 as its a newer car and doesn't have the garda car image.
The mazda6 is a beautiful car though and I'm sure you'd forgive it of any shortcomings and fall for it quickly.
I'd say for me it would be Tucson or 6. the hyundai has the novelty factor of being a brand new model, but the styling of the 6 would convince me to get the mazda

Mazda all the way. Especially if new and under warranty. A serious car imho.

    Thanks for replies guys.

I have been fan of the mazda 6 for a while but actually had the bosses i40 for the last few weeks, he was out of action, and to be honest in spite of myself I have really liked it.

The i40 spec is pretty good whereas the mazda 6 would be the base model with no room for adding on any toys.

I don't know where the I have gotten the inkling for the crossovers Tucson & CX5. I think the new Tucson looks well and from reviews the CX5 drives well. I'd be afraid that I'd get tired of the Tucson quickly if it was a barge to drive.

Must see if I can arrange a test drive on them to see.

I'd go for the Tucson. Had one here on demo a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed with it. Threw it around the back roads around here and it's not a barge to drive by any means.

I'm not a big fan of the i40 - it's OK, but never found them great to drive and the interior doesn't do anything for me. We've also had a few niggly issues with some we've provided this year.

Mazda6 is a cracking car, but there have been issues with them. If it wasn't for those issues, it would be the obvious no.1 - looks great, drives great (fantastic engine) and interior is OK, just too many issues.

CX5 doesn't really stack up against the 6 unless you really need/want the additional height. Less rear seat leg room, same cabin, worse handling & fuel consumption than the 6, but easier to load kids and stuff in to.

Thanks ROR great info as always.

Will try and take the Tucson for a spin to see what its like so.

Between it and the 6 I think really. I know the 6 has some issues but I won't be dealing with them. Lads at work here have 2 only 1 year old but no issues so far 40 - 50 k on both.

Mazda are offering the mid range 6 Executive SE for the same price as the base Executive at present.
